Project Manager | Electrical P.E.
Encotech is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Electrical P.E. to join our Electrical Engineering team. This role serves as the primary technical and project lead for electrical design on complex MEP projects, providing hands-on engineering, cross-disciplinary coordination, and client-facing leadership. The position requires independent judgment, advanced electrical engineering expertise, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality, code-compliant, and well-coordinated designs that support overall project success. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Electrical Engineering & Design. Perform electrical engineering analysis, calculations, and system design for projects of varying size and complexity. Develop coordinated electrical plans, specifications, and cost estimates that comply with project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards. Collect, organize, and interpret project data to inform design decisions, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions. Prepare and review construction documents, conduct field observations, support construction administration, and utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering tools to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Project Management & Coordination. Serve as project manager for small to moderately complex projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines to achieve integrated MEP solutions. Develop and manage project schedules, provide technical direction to assigned team members, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Support quality control processes by reviewing work for accuracy, coordination, and compliance with firm standards.
  • Client Interaction & Business Development. Support marketing and business development efforts by providing technical input, assisting with project pursuits, and contributing to proposal development. Assist with estimating and scoping work for prospective projects while maintaining positive client relationships through responsive communication and reliable project delivery. Introduce additional MEP services as appropriate and support collaboration across technical disciplines to meet client needs and strengthen long-term professional relationships.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 6 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, with additional experience preferred for both paths. A Texas Professional Engineer license is required, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Project Manager | Plumbing P.E.
Encotech is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Plumbing P.E. to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team. This role leads engineering analysis, design, plan review, and construction administration for projects of varying size and complexity, with a focus in the Plumbing Engineering discipline. Serving as the sole point of contact for full MEP design on assigned projects, the position requires independent judgment, advanced engineering expertise, and regular contact with internal and external leadership to keep projects on track. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Design Oversight. Perform engineering calculations, estimates, and original design work, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Collect and interpret project data to inform design decisions, identify and recommend engineering alternatives, and conduct preliminary studies and field observations. Maintain accurate project records, operate computer-aided engineering tools, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Project Planning. Serve as project manager on moderately complex projects, assigning work, setting schedules, and monitoring team performance to ensure completion within timelines. Plan, schedule, and lead all project phases, act as liaison with clients, contractors, and outside agencies, and establish quality assurance measures. Prepare and interpret engineering plans and communicate technical requirements to contractors.
  • Business Development. Support marketing of the firm’s services, including estimating, pursuing, and securing contracts. Refine pursuit strategies by market segment, and help plan and implement marketing and business development efforts that leverage existing relationships and build new ones. Cross-sell additional mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services to existing clients.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of six years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least five years of experience, with additional experience preferred for both paths. A Professional Engineer license is required, and project manager certification may also be required. Electrical Graduate Engineer | Engineer in Training (EIT)

Reporting to a Principal or Associate Principal, this entry-level role supports engineering design, plan development, and review for small to medium projects, and for select segments of larger, complex assignments. The position applies core engineering principles under the guidance of an experienced engineer, with the Graduate Engineer exercising sound judgment as projects require. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Engineering Design & Technical Analysis.   • Field Support & Coordination. Conduct field observations of contractor work to verify compliance with plans and specifications, and draft change orders and payment recommendations for approval. Project Manager | Structural  P.E.

Encotech is seeking a Structural Project Manager with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of design experience to lead structural engineering projects from design through construction. Responsibilities include serving as engineer of record, managing project teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality and budget adherence. The role also involves business development tasks such as preparing proposals and building client relationships. This position offers potential for advancement into department leadership.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Project Management: Upon licensure, serve as Engineer of Record, leading structural design and construction documentation. Ensure code compliance, quality, and accuracy. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources. Conduct QA/QC reviews of all engineering work and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them through the design and production process. Promote a collaborative team environment that supports technical and professional growth.
  • Business Development & Client Relations: Develop structural fee proposals, build and maintain client relationships, and support business development through networking, marketing, and outreach to generate new project opportunities and contribute to the company’s growth.
  • Technical Expertise & Collaboration: Stay current with building codes, industry standards, and structural engineering innovations. Work closely with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of structural designs.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on structures.
  • Experience: Over six years of experience in structural engineering design and project management, with a strong track record in leading teams, managing multiple projects, overseeing construction document production, and conducting QA/QC reviews.

Commissioning Agent

Encotech is hiring a Commissioning Agent to perform MEP commissioning services for diverse building types, including new construction, renovations, and existing facilities. Responsibilities include commissioning per ASHRAE Guidelines 0 and 1, retro-commissioning, energy modeling, and ongoing support. Projects may include LEED, AEGB, and IECC compliance. This role suits detail-oriented professionals passionate about building performance.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Project Coordination and Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with owners, engineers, architects, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate the commissioning process, lead meetings, provide project updates, and coordinate resolution of deficiencies.
  • Commissioning Process Implementation: Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and final performance tests based on project scope; verify commissioning procedures are completed accurately and thoroughly.
  • System Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Leverage experience to identify and resolve system or maintenance issues during commissioning and support design reviews and construction phases.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain a Master Deficiency Log, prepare commissioning specifications, generate job observation reports, and issue regular status updates to clients.
  • Process Improvement and Department Development: Contribute to refining commissioning processes, developing tools and templates, and supporting departmental growth and training.
  • Business Development and QA/QC Support: Assist with RFQ responses, participate in project interviews, and, as needed, provide QA/QC support or act as a subject matter expert for MEP projects.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Commissioning Agent role will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, though applicants with relevant industry experience will also be considered. A minimum of three years of commissioning experience is required, with certifications such as QCxP, CxA, or Energy Management preferred. Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, controls, and instrumentation, along with familiarity with construction standards and submittal/RFI processes. Proficiency in MS Office, construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid), and commissioning tools is expected; experience with CxAlloy and Bluebeam is a plus. Strong communication skills, proposal development experience, and the ability to interpret AutoCAD and Revit drawings are also valuable. Project management capabilities, including scheduling and budgeting, are desirable but not mandatory. Electrical system experience is an added advantage.
